Turns out society takes care more of people with physical illnesses than psychological illnesses.
If somebody has an asthma attack, they try to help them, knowing they won't get over it magically.
If somebody has no motivation to do anything and can't enjoy anything, they tell them to just smile and get over it.
I have autism and anxiety (Possibly OCD, the psychologist said that I have symptoms of it).
Autism and anxiety are serious conditions I have, yet my parents... They don't seem to treat comprehending my conditions. When I tell something corresponding to my feelings - Such as telling my mother my father's words hurt - they tell me I'm all overly dramatic. They sometimes tell me that. It's like trying to get over it will magically get rid of my anxiety and my conditions. Yet when somebody from my family suffers from a physical illness (Cancer, asthma, etc), they care about them and they never yell at them. I'm not saying that I want all the attention from my family. I'm saying I want to be treated like how people like me must be treated. Like how I should. Not as a nerdy attention whore who dramatizes everything.
If they only were in my shoes. . .
